Ran from the story 'Gals!' by Mihona Fujii, another Shoujo Manga writer. I have read other works of Mihona but I think Gals! by far is her best work. Set in truly modern day settings, Ran is your not-so-average Kogyaru, who comes from a line of elite police officers. Claiming she is not going to be a police officer, she causes quite a stir in Shibuya amongst her fellow Kogyaru's. It does not have one set plot as a whole yet (unlike most of Mihona's work) but rather focuses more on the everyday aspects of the Japanese students today. A must read if you want to keep updated about the Japanese youth culture.
